Paranormal fans from all over will converge in the Gaol again this weekend after a spooktacular week of Halloween Horror. Record numbers attended the Audience with psychic Angie Freeland to try to connect with loved ones who had passed on and maybe meet some of the Gaol's famous ghosts like Jack the Gaoler or the little girl who regularly appears in the "schoolroom". Eeerie happenings have been reported at the Gaol since renovations took place several years ago when builders refused to stay in the building after dark. Several workers claimed to have seen spooky figures and felt a presence while working there.
This weekend lovers of the paranormal are again thronging to the Gaol to try to capture some of these "Ghosts".
Why not join them on the 5th and 6th nov to check it out for yourself!

This photo was taken in my grandparents back garden in Mourne Road in Drimnagh, Dublin 12.

This one of the gaol was taken while there in 2007 other photos taken just after this one did not show this mist.

I took this photograph while staying at a hotel in wexford. I was smoking a cigarette when I took the shot. There are 2 things in this photo. The smiling face on the left and the little girl in the centre with her arm stretched out towards the face on the left. Cigarette smoke is kinda spooky.
I took the photo on new years eve a couple of years ago.

. I visited the gaol back in June, and took a number of photographs. I found the experience fascinating and there was definitely a strong atmosphere there. When i got home i downloaded my photos and got a clear shot of an orb.But what made it more extraordinary is that it appeared on another shot outside the same door but taken from a different locationt.I have since shown the photograph to an expert and he has told me that both photograph and camera were perfect.

last friday me and some mates took a trip to wicklow gaol.. This video was recorded near the end of the night..
The spirit (Jack), a jailer that used to run the prison..
He was a very aggressive and evil man..
He seemed to follow me around the prison..
(seen in another video.. through another seonce)
I heard a voice in cell 2 or 3 when we were doing the grounding exercise..
There was no person behind me and the psychic told me that the noise i heard was usually heard outside these rooms..
when we asked the spirit to come forward, i asked was it him making this noise..
Then was he following me, He said yes to both

My trip to the gaol with a strange picture to show

Hello,

My family and I took a trip to Ireland in early May 2010. As a fan of the Ghost Hunter shows we were excited after we watched the Wicklow Gaol episode as we were going to be headed to Ireland. Since Wicklow was on the way of our travel plans we made sure to fit in some time to take the tour. Not only was it amazing to see the building in person ourselves it was amazing to see that Marie was our tour guide.

When we were allowed to look among the different cells I took a moment to speak with Marie about how we had seen her on the show and were so excited to have our tour given by her. I even got her autograph to go into my scrapbook on a postcard. When Marie and I were speaking she asked that we sign the registry and if we caught anything to contact you all. I said that we would of course. We signed the registry and went about on our vacation.

When we got home and started going through the thousands of pictures we had taken something odd caught my husband's and my eye. When we first walked into the building we noticed the mannequin that was signing the release orders. My husband took a number of pictures of this with our daughter in front of it. As you will see with the two files I've attached that something is very different from the first one IMG_2201 versus the IMG_2202. I can't explain what it was as you can see in the first on that for the most part my husband did not move much however the camera did not focus correctly on my daughter. I talked to a friend of mine who is also very interested in the paranormal and is in fact a member of paranormal team here in Wisconsin. She asked if perhaps my daughter was taking a picture at the exact same time. I informed her that she may have however it doesn't explain my my husband's camera focused on light that wasn't there and why we can't seem to find my daughter in the first picture at all. We attempted to recreate this with the two cameras and have been unable to do so. She also asked if it was possibly my husband's hair and I informed her that my husband's hair was maybe an inch long at the time.

I can't say it is or isn't anything as I'm not really someone skilled enough to judge such things, however as you review the two pictures perhaps you can tell me what it could have been. My family and I loved the tour very much and please keep it going as it was fantastic.

My name is Vanessa Butler. I paid a visit to Wicklow Gaol on Monday, 3rd May 2010. As I was taking random pictures, I came across this picture.

It is of my boyfriend in a cell, can't remember which cell, but in the blackened out window, there is a piece of cloth missing. There seems to be a face or something there.

I just wanted to send you a quick email to say thank you so much for everything last Thursday. We are getting a huge reaction to the show (it was repeated again on Friday) and people are even ringing the switchboard here to say how much they enjoyed it.

Hi guys, my name is michael friends call me mick, myself and my wife went on a paranormal/ghost hunting night tour, on the 25th sept 2009,which was carried out in wicklow historic goal, which my wife and I found very intresting and exciting, its a participation not to be missed, highly recommend.keith & Angie whom carry out the ghost hunt are ever so plesant,always making sure every one is ok,i myself took some photo's in cells and other parts of the gaol,got some fabulous snaps, one of a large ORB coming straght towards me, the enegry was up lifting,to say the least,it was so good that i decided to join a workshop with them. keith / Angie thanks for the experience we all felt with your ghost hunting, keep up the good work. regards mick

Whether you believe in ghosts or not, there is a natural fascination that attracts us to the stories of weird inexplicable happenings at locations rumoured to be haunted. Wicklow's Historic Gaol is one such location where many stories have originated from staff and visitors alike. Such stories range from sightings, ghostly mists to people experiencing somebody or something touching them.

Our fascination with such stories have led to the popularity of television programmes such as Most Haunted and Ghosthunters International which conduct televised "paranormal investigations" normally at night when such paranormal activity is at it's peak. You may have seen the Ghosthunters International programme based at Wickow's Historic Gaol confirming the fact that the gaol is on of the most haunted locations in Ireland.

Now decide for yourself............Wicklow's Historic Gaol challenges you to find out for yourself whether the stories are true. Are you brave enough?

I am Angie Freeland, an experienced psychic medium and, together with my psychic husband Keith, we are delighted and excited to invite you to take part in a real live paranormal investigation at Wicklow's Historic Gaol. You may have visited the Gaol on a day or evening tour. During the tour you may have experienced a feeling that you might identify with being scared, apprehensive, sad or even excited. With the right preparation and guidance within the unique experience of a paranormal investigation you will be able to follow and go beyond your feelings to begin to understand the often sad stories held within the gaol of those who have existed and worked within those walls through the centuries. You do not need to have previously visited the gaol and no experience is needed to take part in a paranormal investigation, just your own curiousity and an open mind! We will be conducting live investigations monthly, on a Friday or Saturday evening starting at 9pm and going on into the small hours of the morning finishing around 3am. Refreshments are provided through the night. You need to bring some warm clothing and ideally a torch as you will be working in the dark.
If you have a digital camera, bring that with you as well, just in case you manage to capture a ghostly manifestation!

During the investigation you will:
- learn the importance of your senses (all six of them) and how to open them up, to heighten your sensitivity to what is going on around you.
- be able to experience energy within people and environments, in particular the residual energy that lies within the walls of the gaol and the different stories it has to tell through the centuries.

You will work as part of a small team during the investigation and be involved in a number of exercises and techniques during the night such as:
- table tipping......yes the table may actually move of its own accord!
- planchette.....a modern day version of the moving, upturned glass on a table.
- automatic writing uses the planchette to produce written messages.
- psychic pendulum.......uses a pendulum to receive messages.
- sceance

All these techniques are designed to be able to receive information, if available and if you are prepared to be open, from those unfortunate inmates and their guards who have walked the corridors of the gaol.

Of course no investigation would be complete without concrete evidence. For this reason your investigation team will be taught to use and take readings using up to date technical equipment such as:
- gauss meter.....used for measuring electromagnetic fields.
- IR thermometer......to record temperature variations.
- Digital recorder....to record unexplained sounds (often not detected during an exercise)
- IR movement detector....detects movement in targeted areas.

The information your team collects will be compiled month by month, into a catalogue of evidence documenting occurrences at Wicklow's Historic Gaol that will be published on our website for you to keep track of.

I have been privileged to have worked at the gaol and experienced the sad tales held within the walls. I have the utmost respect for those who have unfortunately been a part of the gaol's history. 'Offshoot Camera Club’ from Dalkey took over the Gaol in Wicklow Town and turned it into a peculiar photography studio. "The purpose of our event was to portray the gaol and its people, with a modern twist." Says Carl Farmer, organizer of the event.
